ABOUT US
Bluevale Homestead began with a simple goal: to raise real food we could feel good feeding our own family — and help make it easier for other families to do the same.
Five years ago, we purchased our farm and started building Bluevale Homestead from the ground up, step by step, with a clear vision for the kind of farming and food system we wanted to be part of.
Matt grew up in a farming family and now brings both practical farming experience and a problem-solving mindset from his work as a mechanical fitter and training officer.
Michelle has a background in Agricultural Science and spent 17 years working in agricultural research before stepping fully into farming. Her experience gave us a deep understanding of soil health, pasture systems, and animal production — knowledge we now apply directly on our farm every day.
But for us, this has never just been about farming. It’s about feeding families well. We know how busy life can feel, and how easy it is for dinner to become another stressful decision at the end of the day. That’s why we focus on producing simple, nourishing food families can keep in the freezer and feel genuinely good about serving.

Everything we do on the farm comes back to one belief:
-
Healthy soil grows healthier plants.
-
Healthier plants support healthier animals.
-
And healthier animals produce better food for people.
That’s why we farm using regenerative practices that work with nature, not against it.
Our cattle are pasture-raised and moved regularly onto fresh grass using low-stress stock handling practices. We focus on improving soil health, encouraging biodiversity, and growing healthy, resilient pastures — because we believe better farming creates better food.
When you buy from Bluevale Homestead, you’re not just buying beef.
You’re supporting a local family, regenerative farming, and a more connected way of feeding your family.
And truly — we’re so grateful you’re here
